It's offcial

Today was a pretty crazy day. My mom and I drove around trying to get last minute items on my list. God bless the person who made the Sister Missionary Mall. I couldn't have done it with out you. And best of all today at 7:30pm, I was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am officially Sister Stevens. I can't believe this is all happening. I go into the MTC tomorrow at 1:30pm. I can't wait! To celebrate my family and I went to In and Out. As usual it was fantastic. Tomorrow will be a very emotional day, but I know going on a mission and serving the Lord for 18 months is the right thing to do. I'm so excited!!!!

MTC here I come!

First of all I wanted to thank everyone that came to my Farewell. It meant so much to me to see you all there. And it gave me confidence that my family will be taken care of.

Well I only have a few more days till I go into the MTC (missionary training center). I can't say I'm keeping my composer. I am very nervous but I am also extremely excited! I have wanted to go on a mission ever since I was a little girl in primary and two Sister missionaries came in to speak. I don't really remember what they said; I was just so excited to learn that girls could serve missions. I feel so honored to go to Boston, Mass. with the missionary badge pined to my shirt. I know heavenly father will be with me and guide me in serving him. I am filled with such peace and joy when I think of the wonderful message of love I will have the privilege of sharing. Thank you for all your support of me and my family. I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people.

I will update you all as much as possible. I don't know my mailing address for MTC yet but I do have my new mission email set up.

I can only check my email and write letters on perpetration day, which is Monday. So I won’t be able to get back to everyone as fast as I'd like.

Lucky for me I have a relative that works at the MTC. He is my cousin’s husband, and he gave me some info. My companion will be Sister Sarah Dixon, I hope she likes hugs cause she’s in store for a lot of them as soon as we meet. She is going to the Mass. mission too. And my teachers will be Sister Adkins and Brother Avery. Thanks so much Mike for the info! Even just knowing the names of the people I'll be working with in the MTC make me feel a little better.

Called to Serve

I have been called to serve in the Mass., Boston mission for 18 months. I will leave on July 7 2010. I couldn't be more excited! As soon as I read it in the letter I knew it was where I was supposed to be. Thank you all for being so supportive. My farwell is going to be on June 27th at 9:00am.
